The National Library of Ireland is located on Kildare Street in the centre of Dublin city. Established in 1877, the National Library’s holdings are the most comprehensive collection of Irish documentary material in the world and offer an invaluable resource for those interested in Ireland’s history and heritage. The library, a popular place to visit in Dublin, moved to its landmark building on Kildare Street in 1890.
