One of the more unique places to see in Dublin, The Waldorf Barbershop has been trading on Westmoreland Street, Dublin, since 1929.

The shop has been restored to its former glory with terrazzo floors, original chairs and wooden units. It’s a piece of Irish history just waiting to be discovered.

  1. thursday 4 june 2015 two days before my holidays was told by an excellent hair stylest to go to the waldorf for a shave and a beard trim so in i went waited about 20 minutes to be called for my shave was put in the chair no hello or anything asked what i wanted said shave and trim lady set about the job told to move my head back in the chair twice i was not comfortable in the position but the lady kept going and started to shave me from start to finish hot towels once at the start and at the end i was done in 15 minutes was an experience that will last with me have got shaves in many other barber shops lasted the guts of an hour and felt like a new man . Sorry on this occasion felt ripped off oh and by the way its law to show a price list in the shop where it can be seen not on a sheet of paper on a table and next day my so called shave I needed a shave that nite this day and age i expect more for 35 euro .
