Johnstown Castle in County Wexford is one of the great Victorian revival Castles in Ireland. This is a wonderful place for a stroll on a fine day. The Gardens are open to the public and there are some really lovely walks around the grounds.

Curracloe beach is one of the cleanest beaches on the Irish coast and is best known for having featured in the Second World War themed motion picture ‘Saving Private Ryan.’ The Raven Nature Reserve is planted with a forest of pine and other evergreen trees. A looped walk of the area goes to the tip of the Raven Point spit through the wood and back again via the beach.

In the summer of 1963 President Kennedy visited Ireland and made an emotional return to the ancestral family homestead. The museum follows the fortunes of the most famous Irish American Family through the 20th century to the present day. This rag to riches story begins at the Kennedy Homestead, birthplace of President John F Kennedy’s great-grandfather, who was forced to leave during the famine.
