Aunt Sandra’s Candy Factory

Places to See | Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Voted Best Sweet Shop in Europe, Aunt Sandra’s candy factory is where you can see candy making as it used to be. All candy is made by hand, some to traditional recipes over 100 years old.

This is a great place to visit with the family.

Since Aunt Sandra opened her little shop on the Castlereagh Road in 1953, customers have been crunching on her famous recipe honeycomb, savouring her scrummy traditional fudge and rolling their eyes in delight over her chocolate macaroon cake.

A visit to the little shop and small factory at the back is like taking a trip back in time, where visitors can see the whole production process and watch as hand-made chocolates and fudges are created. Those with a sweet tooth can even sample some of the fresh fayre before it hits the shelves!

Local specialities include Yellow Man, Belfast Fudge, Rasberry Ruffles, Baileys Fudge and Brandy Drops.

Visitors from all over Ireland and beyond receive a warm welcome to this family friendly attraction in Belfast.

  1. Hi

I was thinking of taking my 2.5 year old and a 5 year old to a candy workshop. We are in Belfast Friday 20th afternoon. What is the times and would it be suitable for this age of child?

    Thanks
    Corinna
