Ballywalter Estate

Places to See | Co. Down, Northern Ireland.

The home of Lord and Lady Dunleath, one of the great historic houses in Co Down, opens its doors for those seeking somewhere exclusive for their corporate or other prestigious events.

An Italianate palazzo mansion constructed by Charles Lanyon for Andrew Mulholland, great, great, great grandfather of the present owner. This place to see in Co Down offers an opportunity to see how Victorian grandeur is matched with a contemporary twist.

Ballywalter Park has been the home of the family for over 150 years and it is still very much a private house, whose fabric and contents continue to evolve, as they have, over time. Through a carefull process of restoration, dedication and enthusiasm Ballywalter Park is probably in as good a condition now as when it was originally built all those years ago.

Visitors are welcome to Ballywalter Park and are able to offer tours of the house and gardens.

One Response to Ballywalter Estate

  1. I should be grateful if you could give me information on cost of tour of the house for a party of approximately 12 Trefoil Guild members and if refreshments are available. The outing would be at the beginning of May, 2018.

    Many thanks
