Point Square Dublin

Places to See | Dublin, Ireland.

We took the drone up above the Point Village recently to capture an AirPano of Dublin’s docklands. We got a great shot of the area with the fog lingering over the River Liffey. The AirPano has information markers which show just how central the Point Village is for business and pleasure if you’re visiting Dublin.

The Point Square is an €800 million development planned to feature a shopping centre, a cinema complex, a museum, offices and a hotel plus a five-storey underground car park.

The 3Arena (formerly the O2 concert venue) is built on the site. It hosts many top acts and concerts throughout the year. Its 14,500 capacity makes it the largest indoor arena in Ireland. U2 were the first band to play in the venue.

Beside the music venue is the Gibson Hotel. 252 contemporary and modern guest rooms and a great heated terrace, overlooking Dublin port, for you to watch the world go by below.

The complex also houses an ODEON cinema, underground car park for access to the village and the hotel and shortly a shopping mall is to be opened.

The terminus of the docklands extension of the Luas is located right in the middle of the development. This Luas link connects the Point Village to directly to Dublin City centre, Connolly Station and other transport options.
