These Houses provide an unusual and attractive alternative to conventional tourist accommodation.  All properties are renowned worldwide for their high standards of traditional hospitality elegant accommodation and superb cuisine.

Ireland’s Blue Book was formed in 1974 with 11 founding members who realised that there was a gap between the bed and breakfast accommodation and the larger hotel industry which was not being marketed at that time. By filling this gap the Association has ensured the economic well-being of some of Ireland’s historic properties which might otherwise have fallen into decay.

Michelle Maguire, Marketing Manager at Ireland’s Blue Book spoke of the partnership:

The relationship with Virtual Visit Tours allows us to plug in their high quality visual content into our website. Showcasing our country houses & historic hotels in the form of a Virtual Visit will make it so much easier for guests to visualise the property for a future stay.”

Thomas McVea from Virtual Visit Tours commented:

“We are delighted to have the chance to work with Ireland’s Blue Book who represent some of the most stylish and romantic hideaways in Ireland.  We love the idea that we can bring you (virtually) with us on our journeys discovering places known and not so known – giving you a virtual prelude to the real-world experience that awaits you.”
